If you’re planning a career working with young people, and are looking to enhance your CV with some voluntary work this summer, take a look at this opportunity from Engage4Life, who deliver a Government programme called the National Citizen Service.
Engage4Life are commissioned to deliver the National Citizen Service which is funded by the Government and commissioned by the NCS Trust nationally. Currently the programme runs during school holidays, and is aimed at all 16 and 17 year olds in England. The programme involves challenging activities, team building, skills development and delivery of social action projects in local communities.
Engage4Life are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and innovative volunteers from the West Midlands region to support the delivery of the NCS programme following the Engage4Life ethos and core values. The programme runs for 6 weeks, commencing 20th July 2015, and your commitment would be flexible in terms of hours and locations.
These voluntary ‘Team Leader Assistant’ positions would be particularly appropriate for those Service leavers with leadership skills or looking to improve their core skills and challenge themselves in project/events management and working with young people. Engage4Life also place importance on the personal development of their volunteers, offering in-depth training and the chance to build the skills necessary to become Team Leaders on the subsequent programme.
