Skanska is a multinational construction and development company, and recently welcomed Service leavers interested in project management to a careers event at their offices in Hertfordshire.
At an event held on 9 May, Service leavers from the RAF, Navy and Army joined Skanska’s resourcing team and a number of representative from across the business to discuss current job opportunities for project managers.
During the event, attendees were given an insight into what Skanska does, along with the opportunity to speak to its employees about what it’s like to work for Skanska and the roles available.
Skanska’s Head of Resourcing, Mary Goodey, said: “Some key skills acquired in the military are closely linked to those needed in the construction industry.
“Skanska is recruiting for 1,500 new roles over the next two to three years, so attracting the right people with the right skills is critical.”
