Ever considered learning to fly a drone? Drone usage has seen exponential growth over recent years, with many individuals buying a drone for their personal interests or using one in a wide variety of careers.

Drones are particularly useful across industries such as construction, energy, wind, insurance, agriculture, transportation, telecoms, security and health and safety. So, it’s no surprise there are now hundreds of opportunities to work with drones in a professional capacity.

  • We deliver a Level 4 Diploma course, where drones are provided throughout your training, along with:
  • 20 hours of online learning
  • Two days of ground school theory, providing you with the understanding of safe aircraft operations, advanced mission flight planning and a variety of aviation knowledge
  • Three days of practical flight training, including night flight training and confined space experience
  • A practical assessment of your skills in controlling the aircraft, testing in real world scenarios and completing required checks and notifications for a commercial operation

“I thoroughly enjoyed this course and it really helped me develop and learn all the skills required to work with drones from a beginners perspective. The course was really easy to book and all tutors were extremely helpful. As someone who had never worked on a drone before, the virtual classrooms were really helpful in moving me forward from the 20 hours pre-course training.” - Attendee June 2023

Attendees will also be guided through completion of their operations manual, which is a prerequisite to gaining your L4 Diploma. Without completing your operations manual, you will not be able to apply for your certificate of competence or certification to operate from the CAA.

“The course exceeded any expectations and the qualification gained is higher than I could have expected. The instructors were very high calibre and offered more information on applications and practical use for the drones & qualification. Excellent service all round and I would happily recommend this course to anyone even remotely interested in this field. Many thanks to the entire training delivery team.” - Course Attendee 2022

No prior experience is required and you can fund the course via ELCAS.
