1. Project Manager: (CTP JOB ID: N596464)
Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for problem-solving? We’re looking for candidates with Project Manager experience who can be trained to lead defence-related projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, demonstrating an ability to navigate complex projects, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
This role requires some understanding of defence industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and you’ll eventually be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects from conception to completion.
2. Senior Systems Engineer: (CTP JOB ID: N589222)
Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive mission-critical projects?
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Systems Engineer: responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex system architectures, ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and scalability, while also mentoring junior engineers and coordinating cross-functional team efforts to meet project goals and technical requirements.
*NB: Both these positions will initially be hybrid and require on-site work for a minimum of 2 days a week. Location of onsite work may change according to future projects. Temporary relocation costs will be covered, including accommodation (if required) and transport.

From Staff Sergeant to Commercial manager: Gareth Myers’ Journey at Espanaro
Meet Gareth Myers, a former Staff Sergeant with over two decades of service in the armed forces. Gareth's journey from military life to civilian career success exemplifies the seamless transition that can be achieved with the right support and opportunities.
Gareth's military career spanned 22.5 years, during which he held various roles within the Royal Signals; supporting the implementation and maintenance of critical operational and tactical communications systems around the world. In his final years of service, employed as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, Gareth was heavily involved in administrative duties, teaching, mentoring and managing personnel, allowing him the opportunity to build on a range of transferable skills.
Transitioning out of the armed forces, Gareth brought with him a wealth of skills and experience. While his base knowledge lay in network engineering, his comprehensive understanding of defence operations, coupled with expertise in communication, IT, and engineering, equipped him to adapt quickly to civilian roles within the defence sector.
In January 2022, Gareth embarked on a new chapter of his career at Espanaro, joining initially as a Systems Engineer. Despite still being within his resettlement leave period, Espanaro recognised Gareth's potential and provided him with tailored training. This support allowed Gareth to enhance his existing skillset and seamlessly integrate into his new role.
Gareth's dedication and adaptability soon became evident, leading to his promotion to Commercial Manager in September 2023. He was again provided with tailored training, including bid writing and commercial courses. In this role, Gareth leveraged his strategic mindset and operational experience to drive success for Espanaro.
Gareth's journey serves as an inspiring example for those transitioning from military to civilian life. His story highlights the transferable nature of skills gained in the armed forces, demonstrating how individuals like Gareth can thrive in new environments with the right opportunities and support.
