Pertemps Driving Division continue to recruit and will at the CTP Job Fairs. Pertemps Driving Division is one of UK’s largest driving recruitment specialists. We are interested in recruiting Service leavers, Veterans and Reservists to join our professional driving team. We have employed over 100 Service leavers in the past two years.

Pertemps have been officially recognised for our outstanding commitment to the Armed Forces by achieving Employer Recognition Scheme Gold status from the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Pertemps Driving provide Free Commercial LGV Cat C and C+E Familiarisation Training that gives you civilian driving experience and a guaranteed LGV driving job. This is a great option for Early Service Leavers and those who are not eligible for CTP's contract funded driver training and CWA.

Major Darren Knight RLC
Darren joined the Junior Leaders’ Regiment Royal Corps of Transport in 1985 at the age of 16. Darren completed 23 years of Regular Service and rose from the rank of Driver, to Warrant Officer Class One and qualified as a Master Driver. On leaving the Regular Army in 2008, Darren went through the CTP process at RRC Cottesmore and obtained Transport, Training and Health and Safety qualifications which aided him enormously in gaining a job as a Training Director. Darren commissioned into the Army Reserves on leaving Regular Service and was promoted to Major in 2014. In 2015 Darren changed his civilian employment and became the Forces Liaison Manager with one of the largest and most successful independent recruitment agencies in the country called Pertemps. He now uses his experience to assist Service leavers, Veterans and Reservists in gaining work.

Rebecca Thorn former Staff Sergeant RLC

Rebecca joined the Royal Logistic Corps in 1997 at the age of 17. Rebecca completed over 19 years of Regular Service and rose from the rank of Private, to Staff Sergeant and ended her service as a Motor Transport Warrant Officer. Before leaving the regular Army in 2016, Rebecca attended a number of work placements arranged via CTP, Sheena Wilcox, Career Consultant, and Melanie Vaughan, Specialist Employment Consultant which gave her the invaluable experience of working with prestigious companies and an insight in the civilian work environment. Rebecca is now employed with Pertemps as the Forces Liaison Coordinator, she fully understands what it is like to leave the Armed Forces after a lengthy service, and is now able to assist other Service leavers, Veterans and Reservists into employment which is truly satisfying.
