Professional Driver Training Programme with CTP

CTP offer Service leavers the unique opportunity to gain an LGV licence at a contract funded price PLUS the opportunity to gain valuable experience through attendance at a civilian work attachment within Manpower Group (subject to availability).
Training is delivered by 2 Start Ltd, a short distance from Portsmouth Naval Base, with highly experienced trainers and new vehicles which are maintained to a very high standard. The course takes place over 5 days on a Monday – Friday, with the test booked for Friday. Please note that in order to book a test slot, the test fee is payable in advance and is non-refundable. If you are unable to complete the test on the Friday, you will use this time to attend further training to prepare for the test at a later date.
All applicants wishing to complete the Cat C Professional Driver Program will be required to have the following prior to booking their place:
- Full Car licence with provisional entitlement for Cat C
- Initial DCPC Part 1 (Theory Test) pass certificate
- Initial DCPC Part 2 (Case Studies Test) pass letter

All applicants will be required to have a full Cat C licence prior to booking.
Although DCPC is not a pre-requisite to attend this course, all SLs must have completed either Initial or Periodic (whichever is applicable) DCPC training before attending a Civilian Work Attachment or taking up employment.
