Location: Online

Time: 12:00 - 13:00
Balfour Beatty is the UK’s largest construction and infrastructure company with over 12,000 employees across the UK. Founded in 1909, we provide project, construction and asset management services across infrastructure, buildings, rail, highways, energy and power. We are a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant and have Gold status under the Employer Recognition Scheme.

Balfour Beatty, the UK’s largest construction and infrastructure company, invite applications from Service Leavers and Veterans for their Military Training Pathway running throughout 2024.

With start dates at any time, the Military Training Pathway is a structured route to assist Service Leavers in transitioning to key construction, engineering project management and other roles. Roles are permanent and across the UK and the first six months will be a combination of on and off the job training to industry standards before climbing the Balfour Beatty career ladder. Opportunities will be available on the CTP website and Balfour Beatty careers site.

To be considered for this pathway, applicants need to be post discharge or near TX date as these are employed roles. Traditional Civilian Work Placements for those still serving will still be offered, but not under this pathway.

The Military Talent Pathway in brief outline:
  • Successful candidates will undertake structured training alongside their first 6 months of employment, the first three months of which is a probation period.
  • Driving licenses are not necessarily required, depending on role requirements.
  • Convictions are not necessarily a problem, depending on role requirements.

These roles are aimed at those from all backgrounds and levels of experience and the degree of overlap between your military role and those in Balfour Beatty will be taken into account in the roles you could be considered for and bespoke training you will receive.

The purpose of this event is to provide further details of our Military Talent Pathway (MTP) and to guide interested candidates on the application process. This will also include some company information and general resettlement and careers advice.
