RFEA Ex Forces Employment Programme
Through Life Employment Support
The RFEA Ex Forces Employment Programme is a national employment support programme designed to address the employment needs of Veteran personnel who no longer qualify for MOD Resettlement support and are returning to the employment market after 2 years post discharge from service.
The RFEA’s aim is to assist Veterans to secure quality, sustainable employment for the rest of their working life. RFEA has an unparalleled understanding of the skills and ambitions that ex-forces/Veterans bring to the employment market. We also have a proven track record of helping all ranks, trades, backgrounds and services to find and remain in work. Indeed, in 2014 RFEA provided employment support to just over 4,000 Veterans UK wide.
The RFEA Employment Compass Programme will be supported by a team of RFEA Regional Employment Advisors (REA) located in:

The Principal Responsibilities of the Regional Employment Advisors under the RFEA Ex Forces Employment Programme will be as follows:
The Ex Forces Employment Programme Regional Employment Advisors will provide employment and job finding information to referred Veteran personnel in their relevant regional area. This will include remote support and if required face to face advice and guidance on:

Personal development opportunities and preferred employment outcomes.

Assistance with job search
-
Advice and guidance on interview techniques and approaches to employers.

Career choices and career guidance
-
Preparation and development of a CV.

Advice on local networking.

Advice on local training and education opportunities.

Signposting to assistance on local housing, education and welfare.

Running regional jobs clubs where required
RFEA’s Ex Forces Employment Programme Regional Employment Advisors (REAs) will also work closely with other charity partners, Job Centre plus Armed Forces Champions, and other service providers across the UK in support of the Veteran.
