Aim of the Course 
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is for individuals who want to validate a comprehensive set of skills necessary to perform the job role of Systems Administrators.

The course provides the skills needed to install, maintain, and manage users, desktop PCs, and servers running on the Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server platforms and legacy versions.

Course Content 
The syllabus covers all the requirements of the technical proficiency measured in the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications. Therefore, you will earn one or more MCTS certifications on your way to earning an MCSA certification.

70-640 MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
  • Configuring Domain Name System (DNS) for Active Directory
  • Configuring the Active Directory infrastructure
  • Configuring additional Active Directory server roles
  • Creating and maintaining Active Directory objects
  • Maintaining the Active Directory environment
  • Configuring Active Directory Certificate Services.
70-642 MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
  • Configuring IP Addressing and Services
  • Configuring Name Resolution
  • Configuring Network Access
  • Configuring File and Print Services
  • Monitoring and Managing a Network Infrastructure.
70-646 MCTS: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator
  • Planning for Server Deployment
  • Planning for Server Management
  • Monitoring and Maintaining Servers
  • Planning Application and Data Provisioning

Qualifications Awarded 
MCSA: Server Administrator upon successful passing of exams:

70-640 MCTS:
Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
70-642 MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
70-646 MCTS: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator.

Course Duration 
The course involves a total of 6 weeks of intensive study, 4 weeks Instructor Led at the RTC with 2 weeks self-study/ distance learning broken down as follows:
6 weeks (2 weeks IL + 2 weeks Self-Study + 2 weeks IL)

If this is not possible or the alternative(s) is/are not acceptable to the Service leaver, Right Management, who deliver all non-contract courses listed, may refund in full the total amount paid to date for non-contract funded courses, or, in the case of MOD Contract Funded courses, in agreement with the MOD, the Service leavers IRTC grant will not be notionally reduced.
