On 25th September, the Career Transition Partnership held a Transport & Logistics Industry Awareness Day at the Divisional Conference Centre in Herford.
Supported by various UK training providers and two German companies, Fiege and Fahr-zeit, the day was attended by over 120 Service leavers. The event aimed to help attendees to focus on their resettlement in the Transport sector, providing a wealth of information on the various courses and qualifications available.
Many benefited on the day from networking with those also going through the resettlement process, whilst for others the event helped to narrow down the different industry sectors they wish to research.
Throughout the course of the day, presentation briefs were provided by exhibitors including Denby Transport, Commercial Operator Training Solutions Ltd, Talent Express Ltd, The Institute of Engineering Technology, Ritchies Training Centre, TIR Training Services Ltd and Fiege uni/serv. All presentations were very well received and provided Service leavers with useful information about training and working in the sector.
