CTP is Delighted to Donate £3,000 to St Dunstan's
We are delighted to announce that Service leavers who completed their discharge questionnaires over the past year have raised an amazing total of £3,000!

As the official provider of Armed Forces Resettlement, it is vital for us at the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to monitor and track those who go through their resettlement. We do this by sending out questionnaires to all Service leavers at the point of discharge and then at six, twelve and twenty four month post-discharge intervals. Completion of these questionnaires is extremely important to us as it enables us to track the progress of Service leavers, and also to evaluate the services we provide. We consistently find that the majority of Service leavers are settled within 6 months of leaving the Forces but by keeping in touch, we can also identify those who may need our support.

As an incentive to Service leavers to complete these questionnaires, we introduced a pledge of donating 25 pence from each questionnaire to a Service charity. We are delighted to announce that Service leavers who completed their discharge questionnaires over the past year have raised an amazing total of £3,000! St Dunstan’s was selected from a worthy shortlist of Service charities by CTP staff at our annual Business Development Event, and it was with great pleasure that the CTP’s Managing Director, David Duffy, presented a cheque for £3,000 to the charity in December.

David said “We are delighted to give this contribution to St Dunstan’s and support the outstanding work they do. We would also like to extend our thanks to those Service leavers who raised the money by taking the time to complete their questionnaires. In doing so, it has given us valuable feedback and we will be nominating another Service charity as the recipient for further monies raised later this year”.

For almost a century, St Dunstan’s has been giving invaluable physical and emotional support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women. With the help of their unique expertise, experience and comprehensive range of services, St Dunstan’s enable them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

St Dunstan's has three centres located across the UK, and these provide a range of services including rehabilitation, teaching new skills, resolving housing issues, help with benefit claims, access to sporting facilities and social activities, and also a sense of belonging to the St Dunstan’s family.

Melinda Dixon, Training & Development Manager at St Dunstan’s thanked CTP for the donation, and said:

“As you are aware every year, more veterans face the terrifying experience of going blind, whether in conflict or through illness, accident or old age. With your support, St Dunstan’s will be able to continue to offer many of these remarkable men and women specialist advice, rehabilitation, nursing care, training and equipment.”
