Careers in Construction Highlighted via Buildforce
Have you thought about a career in the construction industry? More than 182,000 construction jobs will be created throughout the UK in the next five years. There is a lack of skills in the industry, meaning that now is a great time to make a career move into this exciting and dynamic sector.
The construction industry has vacancies including Project Managers, Planners, Administrators, Electricians, Supervisors, Engineers and many more. Over 60 Service leavers attended an event hosted by Buildforce, a new initiative set up with the aim of promoting opportunities in the construction industry to Service leavers.

The event, which took place at RRC Northolt on 23rd June, enabled Service leavers to hear from ex-Service leavers now working in the industry, and to network with employers. They were also given the chance to sign up for Buildforce's Civilian Work Attachment initiative, which will match Service leavers with employers offering a variety of work placements, to provide them with a taste of a career in the industry.

Buildforce will be holding a number of events throughout 2014 and 2015 - keep and eye on the CTP events calendar for further details.
