Traction and Rolling Stock Training + NTAR Event Are you considering a career in rail engineering?

CTP work in association with NTAR, the National Training Academy for Rail, to deliver an EAL L3 Certificate in Traction & Rolling Stock Systems training course, for Service leavers seeking a role within rail engineering.

Training takes place in a Siemens Mobility multimillion-pound facility in Northampton, and provides attendees with all the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue a career as a Traction and Rolling Stock Technician.

You’ll learn about the different types of vehicles used by rail operators and be taught how to troubleshoot faults in all major systems and components; helping to ensure you can maintain equipment while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.

“A very good course with knowledgeable tutors. It equips you with a good understanding of rolling stock systems, so that in an interview you can speak from a place of knowledge. Having access to the depot next door was invaluable as it enabled us to see live train maintenance in action, to gain insight into the working environment and to consolidate some of the learning elements that had been covered within the course.” - Jan '23 course attendee
