CTP currently deliver the 5 day Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner course alongside our in-depth 10 day APM Project Management Qualification which provides a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Project Management for those with more limited experience, who may be seeking a future career in Project Management.

This training is currently delivered across our centres in Aldershot, Portsmouth and Tidworth, however due to recent demand we are pleased to announce that both courses will now also take place at RRC Catterick and dates can be found on our via the website.

Which course is right for me?

APM PMQ Project Management Qualification (Formerly APMP)
This 10 day extended course is suitable for anyone considering a management or project management role and includes extra material specifically designed to meet the needs of Service leavers who have ideal transferable skills to be a success as a project manager but who may not be familiar with how such roles function in the commercial sector.

The added content covers potential gaps in commercial knowledge which students find helpful when at interview and in the first few weeks of their new post. It assumes little or no prior project management experience, and will provide the attendee with a thorough understanding of project management principles and language, which can be applied in the commercial workplace.

PMQ is an internationally recognised qualification which will enable successful candidates to participate in individual assignments through to large scale capital projects. The course is assessed through a 3 hour closed book exam, and attendees have the option to sit the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) at an additional cost, on day 9 of the course. This 10 day course will give attendees a thorough understanding of project management and how to apply the principles in a commercial role.

Prince 2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment)
This 5 day course is suitable for those with some knowledge of project management who wish to develop an understanding of the Prince 2 methodology, enabling them to apply and tailor it to a specific project situation. The course is updated to Prince 2 2017 and further details on the changes can be found here.

This is an intensive course with the Foundation exam taking place on Day 2, followed by a Practitioner exam on day 5. Attendees will also be expected to complete a significant amount of study prior to and during the course.

APMG - Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner
This 5 day APMG accredited Agile PM Foundation & Practitioner qualification is suitable for all Service leavers who require an understanding of managing projects in an agile context. The training will provide a practical methodology following the standards and processes of project management principles in an agile context, and this gives the flexibility to move or change pace by working in shorter increments to enable project teams to adapt quickly to changes.
