The Humber Refinery is currently recruiting for Trainee Refinery Process Operators (start date of January 2021).

As a Trainee Process Operator you are key to the safe and successful running of one of the most complex refineries in Europe. Following a 12hr shift pattern you will work predominantly outside within the process areas. This will involve, amongst other tasks: working at heights, taking readings, acquiring product samples and checking and preparing equipment for maintenance. Excellent communication skills are needed to ensure precise relay of information to other team members based in the control room. Detailed procedures and work instructions are expected to be followed to complete safety critical tasks.

Safety is our number 1 priority and as our eyes and ears on the ground, a key role of the operator will be to act as a safety officer, ensuring that everyone within your process area complies with safety regulations / procedures. You’ll also be expected to intervene & address any non-compliance. To this end, as an operator you will set the standard at all times.
