Mission Information Exploitation (MIX) Services deliver innovative and successful capabilities to our Armed Forces worldwide; including data and information services for weapons systems, intelligence systems, command and control systems, mission planning & navigation systems and information management & exploitation tools.
We’re currently
looking to recruit Delivery Managers to join the MIX team. A Delivery Manager is accountable for delivering projects, products and/or services to our stakeholders and customers with various delivery methods, such as Agile, Waterfall and ITIL processes. We’re looking for someone curious, determined, with an attention to detail, and who is eager to make an impact in these interesting and exciting roles.
The roles involve:
- Planning: Leading on a continual planning process in a complex environment where you’ll plan for both project and live service delivery, identify dependencies in plans across services, coordinate delivery and sustain service delivery.
- Communication and stakeholder management skills: Understanding and managing the needs of technical and business stakeholders
- Maintaining delivery momentum: Facilitating the delivery flow of a team, managing the pace and tempo, while actively addressing the risks, issues and dependencies including those that exist outside the team
- In Service management: Responsibility for the provision of current services ensuring the continued needs of the customer are addressed and accounted for.
- Commercial management: Acting as the point of contact for contracted suppliers. Identifying appropriate contractual frameworks and suppliers.
- Financial management: Balancing cost versus value and considering the impact of user needs developing clear and compelling business cases to identify business-value propositions.

MIX has a variety of interesting projects and services to manage and deliver. These roles offer experience in delivery management across different stages of the project lifecycle, from inception all the way through to in-service and termination. You’ll contribute to the delivery of projects and services to a variety of different end users with differing needs, and make use of the wide variety of tools and techniques used by MOD to deliver services to the end user.
With us, you can gain experience in the delivery of elements of larger programmes, or be personally responsible for delivering small to medium size projects, products or services while using your leadership and management skills.
