Royal Navy submarine qualified engineers required NESC is a professional engineering support provider, specialising in high hazard and high consequence engineering. We are a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy principally focussed on the defence and civil nuclear industries.

We’ve developed an in-depth understanding of the UK nuclear enterprise, founded through extensive operational experience and a diverse wealth of technical knowledge. This has made us ideally suited to confidently address client’s engineering or operational concerns, while providing expert advice and assistance.

Our work with the CTP

Our association with CTP has been hugely beneficial this last year, and we look forward to a continued partnership for the future. As such, NESC are proud to announce that we’ll be attending two upcoming CTP events in quick succession!

Who we’re looking for a current vacancies

At NESC, we recognise the unique professional capabilities that ex-service personnel possess and can bring to our organisation. As such, we strive to harness and develop these skillsets to maintain excellence in all of its undertakings.

We have a number of vacancies for NSQEP ex Cat A and Cat B qualified watchkeepers from all classes of Royal Navy Submarines. These are both challenging and rewarding roles, which to the right candidate will offer the benefits of past military service merged seamlessly with the additional enhancements of civilian life.

The ideal candidates:

  • Possess a strong Nuclear Reactor Plant understanding and can demonstrate an aspiration to apply this knowledge across wider engineering disciplines.
  • Are interested in new challenges and working to a high-tempo battle rhythm.
  • Are motivated, driven, committed, disciplined, respectful and operate with integrity.
  • Can deliver within a team environment while taking account of individual responsibilities.

Key skills:

  • Capability to apply knowledge learned within the Royal Navy Submarine Service to wider engineering challenges in advanced engineering and nuclear safety.
  • An awareness of nuclear safety cases and the significance of Nuclear Regulations.
  • Developed Project Management capabilities.
