But what are Smart Meters?
Smart meters are electronic devices which replace traditional meters for gas and electricity, recording the amount of gas or electricity you use in intervals of an hour or less. This information is communicated back to utility companies on a daily basis, for more accurate monitoring which can save money for the consumer.
