Operation Clearview: One Journey, Unlimited Options
Supporting veterans and those currently serving in our military isn’t new for Palletways UK. And in recent months we’ve not only signed the Armed Forces Covenant, but have also introduced a six-week dedicated transition programme for Service leavers.

Operation Clearview is a fully funded six-week work placement designed for ex-military personnel to find a route to working at Palletways UK. You’ll have the opportunity to work across all key areas of our business to help you find a role you really enjoy.

Who are Palletways UK?

Palletways are the UK and Europe’s leading palletised freight delivery network, working with over 130 transport companies here in the UK to deliver pallets of goods from A to B. The network delivers over 25,000 pallets a day to businesses or home addresses, working with hubs and depots before reaching the customer.

We work with corporate clients who ship multiple pallets every single day through our network, from bathroom suites and dry food to car parts and firewood. We also offer a platform for adhoc pallets to be collected and delivered from anywhere to anywhere in the UK or Europe.

And as you can imagine, it takes an agile yet adaptable business model to ensure smooth delivery when economic pressures mount and behaviour in consumers change.

What can I expect from Operation Clearview?

Operation Clearview is exactly what the name suggests. It’s our operation to help you create a clear view as to what you want to do with your career post-Service. You’ll spend one week with each of our six key business areas, helping you form a clear overview of how the business operates with the help of the 650+ employees who choose to work with us.

You’ll be assigned a sponsor for the six-week transition programme to answer any questions and help you settle in. They’ll meet you at the gate of Palletways UK and introduce you to each of the departments:
  • Health and Safety
  • Marketing & Sales
  • Finance
  • Palletways Birmingham
  • Hub Operations & Fulfilment
  • Human Resources
Although we’re unable to guarantee a role within your desired department upon completion of the six weeks, we do always have vacancies open as we grow our business even further. Plus, we work with over 130 transport companies who also have vacancies open that we can connect you with.

Is Palletways UK for me?

There’s only one way to find out! Give us a call or email us to let us know you’re interested in more information and we’ll take it from there. We do offer vacancies directly into Palletways UK, whether that’s through an apprenticeship or full-time employment, and we can work with you to find the right role for you - at the right time.

"I had the privilege to serve in the Royal Navy for 20 years, where I specialised in maritime force protection. I left the military in 2017 and found the transition tough. It’s hard to understand where you can fit into a business when you’ve spent so much of your working life in the military. It takes a great business and the fantastic people within it, like Palletways, to help you appreciate and learn where you can fit in." Toby Rhodes, Operations Manager at Palletways Cardiff

Palletways making a pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant demonstrates our corporate commitment to people like me and you. As an employer of veterans and their families, we’re thankful for your service and are keen to support you in the next phase of your career.
