Is Adult Social Care for you? Opportunities available across Devon through Proud to Care Proud to Care Devon is part of Devon County Council and works in partnership with adult social care organisations across Devon, to support with recruiting and retaining staff.

We provide:


  • A jobs board where you can search and apply for jobs in social care and health across Devon
  • Free 1-2-1 support for people who are considering working in adult social care and want more information, or people who would like support in finding the right role for them
  • Information and job vacancies via social media
  • Signposting to a range of free training courses in the sector
If you’re new to social care, relevant industry experience is not essential, as full training will be provided to bring you up to speed. Instead, we’re looking for people who have the right values and the motivation to work in the care sector. If you’re caring and compassionate with good communication skills, and you care for people with dignity and respect, social care could be for you.

While many people will bring personal experience of caring to the role, we do offer a range of free training courses to support you in developing your transferable skills and progressing your career in social care.
