Why work for us

This is a key role in helping Mercy Ships achieve our ambitious targets for 2024. We’re looking to increase our income and engage with new supporters so we can help more patients and train more healthcare professionals.

At Mercy Ships UK, we’re a committed team of about 30 people working in a variety of hybrid ways. We have high standards for working together and love to challenge one another to do better. We’re an agile and high-performing team, motivated by shared success.

How Tori Gilmartin joined us onboard:

After serving as a nurse in the Armed Forces, Tori chose to serve on board our Mercy Ship as an intensive care nurse for two months in Senegal:

“For many people who have no access to hospital, their ailments result in lifelong shame, disability and death. I want to use my skills to give others greater opportunities in life. Behind every statistic there’s a face, a name and a story. I want to be part of changing those statistics – and you can be too.”
