Babcock are recruiting! For a role that’s out of the ordinary, join our T23 Refit Support Group (RSG) team as an engineering technician or seaman specialist. Day to day, you’ll work on vessels, maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and seamanship equipment, ensuring they’re fit for service.

You’ll be responsible for regenerating systems and equipment to full operational condition so they’re ready for tests and trials, and will be able to develop new skills while working with a variety of stakeholders.

Essential Experience

  • Qualified electrical or mechanical technician.
  • Ability to write clear defect reports and keep maintenance management systems up to date.
  • Good engineering and professional standards.
  • Agile and adaptable, with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience as an RN engineering technician or seaman would be an advantage. However, this is not essential, as long as you have a background in electrical, mechanical or seamanship equipment and system maintenance and repair.
  • City and Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
