The role

The role of an Engineer Surveyor is to assess the condition of plant/equipment and report findings to the client. The assessments are always undertaken in accordance with relevant statutory regulations including:

  • LOLER (Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)
  • PSSR (Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000)
  • COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002)
  • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998)
  • L8 (The control of legionella bacteria in water systems)

The Engineer Surveyor is the face of Ashdale Engineering, liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships, and delivering an expert service.

You’ll undertake multi-disciplinary inspections under LOLER, PSSR, PUWER, COSHH and other relevant legislation (that you have been authorised/signed off to inspect under Ashdale’s procedures). You’ll produce accurate reports in accordance with company specified report turnaround times, while adhering to all overarching safety guidance, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications required.

Candidates must have at least one engineering discipline – Degree, HNC, HND, NVQ4/5, or equivalent.

You will have a full UK driving licence, demonstrate adequate IT and spelling/ grammar skills, and will need to pass relevant background checks.
