Why work at Hinkley Point C?

At Hinkley Point C, we’re not just building a power station. We’re making a vital contribution to securing the UK’s energy future. We’re proud of the opportunities and benefits the project will bring to the local community, the region and the nation. We think roles at Hinkley Point C are more than simply jobs, apprenticeships or training posts. And we hope you will too.

The Hinkley Point C Jobs Team

To help ensure local people can access employment opportunities - during construction and operation - we've established a dedicated Hinkley Jobs service. A partnership between EDF Energy, Jobcentre Plus and other local support organisations and training providers, Hinkley Jobs:

  • Matches people to available jobs at Hinkley Point C and other local opportunities
  • Arranges and delivers programmes to help people into work
  • Invests in and supports dedicated local training centres providing the skills and courses employers need
Almost 200 people have so far been placed in jobs on the project with employers in the local supply chain. The team has also been very successful in placing workers who have recently been made redundant from major local employers.
