VIVID - Working within the Social Housing sector Have you ever wondered what it’s like working within the social housing sector? As the recruitment advisor for one of Hampshire’s largest providers of affordable homes, I’ll give you an insight into why we at VIVID do what we do. And to eliminate any stigma that’s associated with the ‘social housing’ label and its customers.

Technically, we’re a not-for-profit organisation. I say technically, because we do make profit from our home sales. But any profit we do make gets reinvested back into our business – that could be building more homes, or it could be contributed towards the services we provide. So you could say all our employees, no matter what position they’re in, have an impact on society which makes a positive difference to our customers lives. We’re able to provide homes at an affordable price to those who need it. Everyone should have a place that they can call home. Where they feel safe. Where they can build bright futures for themselves and their families. That’s why we do what we do.

Our customers come from all different backgrounds, all with very different circumstances as to why they have a VIVID home. We don’t just offer homes with affordable rent – we also provide homes on a shared ownership scheme (part-rent, part-buy) and for private sale too. We’re really proud of the homes we build and aim to continue to build around 1,200 new homes each year. Click here to watch a short video of our CEO, Mark Perry, talking about it in his own words.

We work hard to continue to be a leading provider of affordable homes. And for us to do that, we make sure we recruit high-performing, valuable employees to join our team. We’ve signed the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging to help support service leavers to transition into civilian life. Aiming to offer work placement or paid placement opportunities with the view to prioritise applications where possible.

If you’re invested in our social purpose and want to work with us to make a difference to society, then we want to hear from you. Drop us an email referencing ‘AFC recruitment’, along with a CV/covering letter. And we’ll see how we can help you.
