Change brings challenges and opportunities at TVS Interfleet

Category: Job Finding Publish date: 30/09/2022

Change brings challenges and opportunities at TVS Interfleet The TVS Group was created in 2019 to enable the growth and commercial development of specialist manufacturing firms, that deliver solutions for the commercial and industrial vehicle industry. By acquiring the UK’s foremost vehicle components business (SB Components), concrete mixer supplier (McPhee), the leading provider of blowers (Priden) and trailer/tipper experts (Wilcox), we have created a group with unprecedented scale and capabilities.

Whilst we have our own clients, we ultimately serve the end consumer and our sector is under pressure; both from product backlogs caused by Covid, and greater systemic change as carbon-free commitments drive vehicle electrification. We’re unifying these businesses to reduce complexity and increase innovation, enabling us to serve end clients better and add value in the face of great change.

Our order books exceed our current capacity which means we’re in need of a wide range of skills to help with our expansion plans. We’re looking to recruit hands-on positions such as mechanics, welders and auto-electricians to help our existing teams build and fit our customer’s vehicles across all sites; as well as recruiting for support roles in digital marketing, type approval and administration, meaning there are opportunities available for everyone!

We’ve worked hard to produce an industry leading benefits package including:

  • Medicash & store discounts
  • Death in service
  • 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Christmas shutdown
  • Free PPE and tools provided
  • Pension
  • Quarterly performance bonus
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • 4 day working week trial and early finish Fridays.

What’s it like to work for us?

Jason Whittaker – Health, Safety and Quality Manager

“During my time in Service I was an infantryman in my home county regiment, operating in a fire support role using the 81mm mortar. Since joining TVS Interfleet, I have worked at the Market Deeping site for nearly three and a half years; and while my main role is Health and Safety, I’m also involved in Quality, Environmental and Facilities. I’ve found that there is a great sense of camaraderie here, like nothing else I’ve seen since leaving the Forces. I feel that the roles are well suited to Service leavers and there’s a large sense of openness to new people on the shop floor. New starters are made to feel welcome and are able to slot into their daily activities with ease. Teamwork is evident throughout the shop floor and the positive banter between the teams is fantastic.”
