Business Partners
We have a number of specialist teams that work in partnership with our Investment Management and Investment Services groups to deliver excellence. These include Finance, Information Technology, Risk and Compliance, General Services and Corporate Real Estate, Audit, Legal, Marketing and Corporate Affairs and Human Resources.

Programme Overview

We offer a six-week work placement and training programme across all our business areas in the UK. Following an interview and selection process, a placement area will be discussed with you and you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills and gain valuable first-hand sector experience working on core projects within your given business area.

Throughout your placement you will be supported through a structured programme of training and development that focuses on:
  • Education about BNY Mellon: Senior members of key businesses will provide insightful overviews as well as advice and career guidance
  • Professional Networking: You will attend events hosted by our key business managers and recruitment teams which will enhance your understanding of the organization, enable you to make valuable contacts and speak to internal recruiters first hand.
  • Learning & Development: You will have access to both online and instructor-led training designed to develop your knowledge of the industry and improve your career management skills
  • Access to a mentor: Your mentor will act as a key contact throughout your placement providing valuable support and guidance

Programme Dates: 18th September - 27th October 2017

Key Dates:
  • 10 May 2017: Live chat session with BNY Mellon Programme Manager and former Returning Military participants
  • 29 May 2017: Closing date for applications
  • 5 Jun 2017 – 5 Aug 2017: Interview and selection process
  • Aug 2017: Offers made and pre-employment checks commence
  • 18 Sept 2017: Returning Military Programme starts
  • 27 Oct 2017: Returning Military Programme finishes

Important points to note:
To be eligible for consideration on the BNY Mellon Returning Military Programme, potential candidates must still be officially serving on 27th October 2017.

The BNY Mellon Returning Military Programme is a work placement experience and is not a precursor to employment however, of the 72 participants to date, 30 have been offered employment at BNY Mellon!
