Skills Launchpad Plymouth to host Military Employment Showcase

Category: Events Publish date: 04/05/2023

Skills Launchpad Plymouth to host Military Employment Showcase Skills Launchpad Plymouth works in city-wide partnership to connect businesses and the people of Plymouth with opportunities for skills, training, education and careers.

As part of our free service, the team hosts a weekly Military Tuesday session with key partners including the Forces Employment Charity (FEC) and The Career Transition Partnership (CTP), to support military personnel and their families.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll now be expanding this weekly offer in June 2023, and in collaboration with both CTP and FEC, will be hosting a Military Employment Showcase event to help Service leavers and their families access current and upcoming job vacancies in the city.

Scheduled to be held on Wednesday 21 June 2023, between 2-6pm at Stonehouse Barracks, this event will offer you the chance to meet local employers and start planning your future. The Skills Launchpad Plymouth team will be joined by 15 to 20 Plymouth-based employers and support organisations, to showcase the opportunities they have available.

Paul Montgomery will be joining us as keynote speaker, to share his experiences of leaving the services and transitioning into self-employment. Representatives from both FEC and CTP will also be available, should you wish to register for support if you’re not already connected.
