The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) There are seventeen operational prisons located across Scotland: sixteen directly operated by SPS and one private sector under contract to SPS.

We directly employ around 4,600 staff. We are responsible for those who are committed to our care by the Courts and are accountable to the Scottish Parliament for the delivery of custodial care.

The event
The event will consist of a 30 min presentation on the role of Grampian prison and the various employment opportunities available at Grampian being mainly Operations & Residential officers. The presentation will cover the difference between the roles in terms of salary and shift patters and the required skillsets, the application process and how to prepare.

There will be an opportunity for 30 mins to ask an Operations officer & Residential officer any questions in terms of promotion opportunities, shift patterns etc. Training required etc. An army leaver will also be in attendance so they can highlight the transition from Army to SPS.
