Civil Nuclear Constabulary – Careers in Policing

30
Apr

Location: Online

Time: 13:00 - 14:00

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally as the United Kingdom’s leading organisation for the provision of protective policing for the civil nuclear industry and other critical national infrastructure.

Join us for an exciting online event on 30 April 2024 where you can learn all about the challenging and rewarding work the Civil Nuclear Constabulary has to offer at Sellafield. As a serving or retired member of the Armed Forces, you have a wealth of experience and skills and are used to carrying out a vitally important role, but have you thought about entering the policing sphere as a warranted police officer and Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO)?

Discover how the Civil Nuclear Constabulary provides 24/7 armed response: patrolling and protecting Sellafield nuclear site, facilities and materials, as well as patrolling in the local communities and working with local Home Office Police Forces. We also play a key role in the Strategic Armed Policing Reserve and have been deployed across the country as part of Operation Temperer in response to terrorist attacks.

The event

During this event you’ll have the chance to hear from experienced officers who will share their personal journeys and experiences working within the CNC. An overview of the type of Policing we conduct, the training that we offer and specialisms that you can pursue and of course the benefits to you.

There will be the opportunity to ask questions and gain an understanding of our recruitment process.

We look forward to exploring your new career with the Civil Nuclear Constabulary at this event.
