Health & Safety role profiles

In order to keep our Fulfilment Centres running smoothly, we need to make sure our teammates there are safe. Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety professionals do just that - working with managers, associates and governmental entities to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Health & Safety Manager

Basic Requirements: Degree level, and/or qualified to NVQ L5/NEBOSH Diploma & significant Health and Safety experience. 

As the Health & Safety Manager you will manage Health, Safety and employee satisfaction at your Fulfilment Centre, including supervising employee wellbeing and productivity. You will proactively collaborate on Health and Safety projects, across all UK-based Operations sites. You will plan and strategize work systems around reducing Health and Safety risks, e.g. recommending suitable adaptations to machinery and processes as well as Implementing and reviewing Amazon’s global safety policies, ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.

Safety Specialist

Basic Requirements: NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ L5 or Degree. WHS Experience. 

As the WHS Specialist you will act as a proxy for the WHS Manager, as and when required. You will assist with the delivery of safety performance and monitoring, in line with personnel, team and functional goals and objectives. In addition you will facilitate and/or arrange training programs on critical Fulfilment Centre EHS issue and ensure that EHS systems are kept accurate at all times, with completed incident reports, alongside all supporting documentation.

WHS Coordinator

As a WHS Coordinator you will investigate accidents, near misses and any incidents, as you establish root cause. You will update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidents and undertake action plans to ensure continuing, sustained compliance with legislation. You will consistently monitor your Fulfilment Centre, keeping an eye on compliance with Amazon’s safety procedures
