The safety-focused Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team works to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the equipment that handles physical material within our global network of Fulfillment Centres. Amazon Maintenance Engineers prevent operations downtime and play a huge role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time.
Every day, they have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies like robotics and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This team is expected to continuously develop and invent ways to improve current processes. From installation of automated packaging systems to the repair of our distribution equipment, the RME team is constantly diving deep to innovate new ways to maintain our Fulfillment Centres.
Engineering Manager
Basic Requirements: Degree in a technical discipline. 5 + years of experience leading engineering teams.
The Reliability Engineering Manager is the site lead for all Engineering matters within a building. They are responsible for leading their team and building a culture of safety; for ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are followed to provide a safe working environment for all occupants of the building; for providing a high level of equipment availability to the General Manager and for working with the EU Engineering team to plan for future growth. They are also required to take part in network wide improvement initiatives and to implement standards created elsewhere in the network.
Maintenance Area Manager
Basic Requirements: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
The Reliability Engineering Area Manager is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians. They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.Significant practical experience including a supervisory role managing people.
Senior Technician
Basic Requirements: Multi skilled in both electrical & mechanical disciplines with 5 years’ experienceNVQ L3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
The Senior Technician will be responsible for the leadership/development and coaching of the team. Performance Management will be carried out by the Senior RME Technician. This role also leads the technical team in providing both a reactive and pro-active maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Fulfilment Centre (FC).
Maintenance Technician
Basic Requirements: NVQ L3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
