Attending the Certified ScrumMaster® course and completing the certification is a great first step towards becoming a Scrum Master.

Is this the right course for me?

Scrum is the leading way for teams doing knowledge-based work to organise themselves.

It’s part of the agile movement and although originally focused on software development teams, Scrum is now also used worldwide in many different areas including marketing, product development and change projects. If your future role will involve leading or working within teams, particularly within an agile working environment, this training will be beneficial.

This training is suitable for:

  • Beginners, new to Agile/Scrum.
  • Those currently working in software or non-software Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Established Agile/Scrum practitioners looking to formalise their experience.
  • Managers and Executives interacting with Scrum teams.

Career Opportunities

Many Scrum Master job descriptions are looking for several years of experience with Scrum, however Service leavers with team leadership experience and knowledge of an agile environment alongside this CSM qualification have some of this relevant experience. While there are no guarantees, we have seen service leaders become excellent Scrum Masters.

Service leavers moving into engineering (software, hardware, mechanical etc.) would also benefit from gaining a Certified ScrumMaster® qualification. This would give you the knowledge and skills to be an effective part of a Scrum team and could offer the potential to transition to a Scrum Master role.

The training is ideal for Managers leading or working within project teams, particularly within an agile working environment.

Adzuna.co.uk currently shows over 5,000 roles across the UK requiring scrum experience, with an average salary of £68k.
