CTP Training are delighted to launch a new course within our portfolio – Environmental Management Systems 14001:2015 Lead Auditor.
With a global move to tackle climate change and meet the targets set, employers are now prioritising the need to reduce their environmental impact. Many companies have ISO 14001 certification which evidences their implementation of an Environmental Management System – reducing waste and energy by utilising energy saving processes to become more efficient. As a result, environmental and sustainability skills are in high demand and this relatively new sector is growing rapidly.
To help ensure you’re up to speed, we’ve launched a new intensive 5-day course that will provide you with an understanding of environmental legislation and the ISO 14001. You’ll learn how to plan, conduct, report and follow up the results of environmental management system audits, as well as understand the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors in the planning and execution of an audit.
What to expect from your course
This course includes pre-reading to cover environmental legislation and some familiarity with ISO14001, followed by 5 days of intensive study.
You’ll then have to complete an online exam which can be taken an any point within 30 days of attending the course. Those who successfully complete the training and achieve a pass mark of 70% will be able to register as an EMS Auditor (any grade) under the IRCA Scheme. Successful completion also makes you eligible for membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) at Practitioner Grade (PCQI).
Training will be delivered at both RTC Aldershot and RRC Catterick, and ELCAS funding may be used.
