.Founded in 1909, we provide project, construction and asset management services across infrastructure, buildings, rail, highways, energy and power. We’re a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant and have Gold status under the Employer Recognition Scheme (renewed in Summer 2022).
We’re currently inviting applications from Veterans and Service leavers for our Military Talent Pathway running throughout 2024, and will be running a number of insight events throughout the year.
All events will take place online between 12:00 and 13:00 on the following dates:
17th April 4th July
The purpose of these events is to provide further details of our Military Talent Pathway (MTP) and to guide interested candidates through the application process.

Starting a career through the Military Talent Pathway
With extremely flexible start dates, the Military Talent Pathway is a structured route to assist Service leavers in transitioning to construction, engineering, project management and other roles. All roles across the UK are permanent and the first six months will be a combination of on and off the job training to ensure each individual meets industry standards before climbing the Balfour Beatty career ladder.
All opportunities will be available for application via CTP RightJob, as well as our own careers site. And while Traditional Civilian Work Placements for those still serving will be offered for a variety of other career pathways with us, applicants of the Military Training Pathway will need to be post-discharge or near TX date.
A brief outline of The Military Talent Pathway:
- Salaries will be aligned to Armed Forces Pay Scales.
- Successful candidates will undertake 6 months of structured training whilst employed, the first three months of which is a probation period.
- Convictions are not necessarily a problem, depending on role requirements.
- Driving licences are not necessarily required, depending on role requirements.
These roles are aimed at people from all backgrounds and levels of experience, and the degree of overlap between your military role and those we offer will be taken into account.
