Level 3 Award in Graphic Design

The trade of a photographer is much more than being able to take great photographs, it is also about having the skills to edit them in a way that is ethical, artistic and eye catching. Photographers in many cases spend as much time editing as they would taking the actual photographs.

Level 3 Award in Graphic Design

Anyone attending this course must have previously attended the Level 3 Award in Photography. In order to create portfolios and assignments it is advisable that all attendees are numerate and literate to at least level 2.

Our 5 day Graphic Design course covers a variety of managing and editing/manipulation software including Adobe programmes and Portrait Professional. The course will also cover professional workflow, creating photo books, on-line galleries, how to capture and create HDR and Panoramic images and a wide range of other professional techniques to improve and manipulate digital images.

The main objectives of the course are;

• To give you the experience and confidence to edit and manipulate images professionally
• To Gain Level 3 Award in Graphic Design (Pixel-Based Image Manipulation) Ofqual 500/8846/4
• To gain experience in a variety of professional editing/manipulation software including; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, Portrait Professional and using Zenfolio and Blurb
• For you to create a portfolio of edited images that you can use for advertising and to show to potential clients
