This course is right for you if have completed the CTP’s Potential Facilities Manager course in order that you are fully aware of the role of a Facilities Manager in a commercial environment and understand the terminology used. It will suit those who intend to look for a future career in Facilities Management as it provides the formal qualification to support your experience and prove to employers that you are familiar with terminology and practices used in the commercial world.Qualifications
Level 4 Award in Facilities Management ( IWFM)Eligibility
The course is open to all Service leavers; but is especially suited to those Officers, Warrant Officers and Senior NCOs with experience in the management or maintenance of buildings, systems or installations, catering, logistics and project management. However, it is mandatory to have attended the Potential Facilities Manager course prior to attending the L4 Award course.Please note: This is a demanding course which will require significant effort and time to complete the assessments.
Course Content
Designed to follow-on from the CTP's Potential Facilities Manager course in order to provide an industry recognised qualification, and delivered over five days, this course provides Service leavers with a commercial understanding of Facilities Management. The course is made up of two units:
- Overview of Facilities Management
- Understanding Facilities Management Support Services Operations.
Each unit is assessed by written assignment, issued on the last day of the course and due for completion within 28 days.
