Why take this course?
Attend this course to gain the Driver Qualification Card (DQC), an essential requirement for anyone looking for employment as a driver of large goods vehicles. Receive 35 hours of periodic Driver Training as mandated by the EU's Certificate of Professional Competence requirements. You'll also gain the ADR certificate, for existing LGV license holders carrying goods that fall within the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations. Is this the right course for me?
Attendees must hold a current LGV licence, and have obtained acquired rights through having passed the LGV test prior to 10th September 2009 (or have passed their car driving test prior to 01 January 1997). Those who obtained a full LGV or car licence after these dates must complete parts 2 and 4 of the initial LGV driver training. Completion of this training will provide students with an initial Driver Qualification Card and also the ADR licence which will enable holders to drive commercial LGVs including carriage of hazardous goods such as fuel. For more information on the DCPC requirement see here.Or for information on ADR see here.
