This course has replaced the Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management

If you're planning to develop a career in HR management or development, and are seeking to progress and further develop your professional HR knowledge, this is the course for you. This course is ideal for those who have previously completed a CIPD Level 3 Certificate or equivalent qualification, and are planning to become an Associate member of CIPD. Attendees should have good written, numerical and verbal communication skills to at least Level 2.

Eligibility

This qualification is Level 5 and is ideal for those that seek to develop a career in HR management. It is also ideal for those who are already working in the field of HR management and need to fill gaps in their skill sets or already have a Level 3 qualification and wish to step up a level to extend their knowledge and skills.
 
As this is a Level 5 qualification candidates should ideally hold a level 3 CIPD qualification (or alternative Level 3) or have the appropriate work related experience in Human Resources operating at a Leadership/Management level.

Candidates should have good written, numerical and verbal communication skills to at least Level 2, supported by a good general education.

Fee Information

Attendees are required to pay a separate fee for student membership directly to CIPD prior to day 1 of the course in order to register for the qualification and gain access to CIPD materials and support.
The fee is currently £149 but subject to change.

Course Content

There will be 3 core units and 4 specialist units as well as an additional unit. Units will be covered within 3 x two week classroom based modules and assessments must be completed for each unit

Core Units:

  • Organisational performance and culture in practice
  • Evidence-based practice
  • Professional behaviours and valuing people

Specialist Units:

  • Employment relationship management
  • Talent management and workforce planning
  • Reward for performance and contribution

Additional Unit:

  • Specialist employment law

Significant out of hours work will be required.

Please note that in order to complete this course, all three modules must be booked together. Attendees must obtain student membership of CIPD prior to Day 1 of the course in order to be registered for the qualification and gain access to study resources and online communities and conferences.

On successful completion you will be awarded CIPD Associate Membership

The qualification is sought by employers when advertising HR job roles, and will therefore stand you in good stead to develop your career as an HR professional.

On successful completion of the course you will be able to use 'Assoc CIPD' after your name.
