Aim of the Course 

This course offers the Service leaver the opportunity to gain City & Guilds qualifications at Level 3 in the Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.


Course Content 

This course is designed to enable the Service leaver to understand the principles, practices and legislation in accordance with statutory and non-statutory regulations and requirements.

It will provide the knowledge and skills to undertake Periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations.


Qualifications Awarded 

The City & Guilds for the Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations examination is in 3 parts:

One Practical and two on-line examinations are taken whilst on the course.


Further Details 
Students must purchase the required literature prior to starting this course. A list of books required for each course along with the current RTC prices can be found on the course price lists. Books from the RTC can be purchased on the first morning of the course but if you wish to purchase prior to attendance they are also available from good bookshops or from the publications department of the IET (Tel No: 01438 767328).  

Please note: Students without the required literature will be unable to complete the course.

Every effort will be made to give the Service leaver as much notice as possible and a reasonable course alternative or alternatives may be suggested, if possible. If this is not possible or the alternative(s) is/are not acceptable to the Service leaver, Right Management, who deliver all non-contract courses listed, may refund in full the total amount paid to date for non-contract funded courses, or, in the case of MOD Contract Funded courses, in agreement with the MOD, the Service leavers IRTC grant will not be notionally reduced.
