Aim of the Course 
This course will provide Service leavers with an understanding of the terminology and concepts of IT Service Management, enabling use of, or the ability to implement ITIL processes in the workplace. ITIL qualifications are ideal for anyone involved in the provision, support and delivery of IT Services in the workplace.

Course Content 
Module 1: ITIL Foundation Certificate
The ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management will provide an awareness of the key elements and concepts of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) which provides an end-to-end view of IT and its integration with business strategy. Delegates will gain knowledge of the terminology used within IT Service Management and the theory will be blended with hands on exercises to reinforce understanding of the subject.

Module 2: ITIL Intermediate Lifecycle Certificate
The ITIL Intermediate Lifecycle Certificate in Service Operations will provide an overview on Service Operations principles, processes, and activities as well as the functions of Service Operations. The course will also cover technology and implementation considerations, as well as challenges, critical success factors and risks.

Please note: Two hours of pre course work must be completed in advance of attending training.

Qualifications Awarded 
The Foundation Certificate exam is multiple choice, with 40 questions to be completed in 60 minutes, on Day 3 of the course.

The Intermediate Certificate exam is scenario based multiple choice, with 8 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, on Day 6 of the course

Successful completion of both course modules and exams will result in 2 industry recognised qualifications:
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
  • ITIL Intermediate Lifecycle Certificate in Service Operations.

Employment Opportunities 
This training, along with some experience in IT will be beneficial to Service leavers considering roles such as IT Development, Analyst, Implementations Specialist, Service Delivery, IT Consultant or Project Manager.

Course Duration 
6 days
(Consisting 2 x 3 day modules with a gap of approximately 3 weeks between modules.)

If this is not possible or the alternative(s) is/are not acceptable to the Service leaver, Right Management, who deliver all non-contract courses listed, may refund in full the total amount paid to date for non-contract funded courses, or, in the case of MOD Contract Funded courses, in agreement with the MOD, the Service leavers IRTC grant will not be notionally reduced.
