Aim of the Course
This course is designed to offer 3 qualifications in one course which enables the student to become a fully rounded Health and Safety Practitioner. This will include NEBOSH General, Fire and Construction certificates for managers and supervisory staff that need to ensure their organisations meet their responsibilities under Health and Safety.
Courses leading to this qualification should equip holders to carry out risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of protective and preventative measures required.

It is imperative that potential students note that individual demands of this qualification are commensurate with the level of study – this is a SQA Level 6 qualification. Students often under estimate the demands of such a course.  Course members will be required to commit themselves to a period of intensive study which is very demanding of their time and energy.

These qualifications are also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities.

It covers a broad range of Hazards covering general workplace hazards as well as more specific fire and construction hazards and the means by which they can be controlled. The course also includes the main legal requirements relating to Health and Safety and enables students to undertake effective safety inspections on any site.
