G4S is currently recruiting Service leavers to fill a number of security vacancies at the London 2012 Olympics.
G4S is proud to be the official security services provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and has the following vacancies available. These will be based in all Olympic locations but the majority will be located in London.
Security Officers and Supervisors
G4S are seeking keen, reliable staff members preferably with customer service experience, to fill the roles of Security Officers and Supervisors.
Both roles will require you to use your communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to remain calm under pressure, to think quickly on your feet and maintain your professional manner.
Working as a Security Officer means you’ll need to commit to training and be available for work throughout the games, as you’ll play a vital role in keeping everyone safe and secure. Those applying for a Supervisor role will also need to demonstrate supervisory experience or the skills and abilities to do this.

Olympic Security Roles
G4S also have opportunities for managers and team leaders to form the backbone of the security operations team during the Olympics.
These key roles include Command Centre Group Leaders, Search Team Leaders and Response Team Leaders and require a range of experience involved in effectively running an integrated security system: Security Management; Perimeter Intrusion Detection; CCTV;Metal Detectors and X-ray screening machines.
