Theatre Royal Plymouth seeks veterans to tell their story
Theatre Royal Plymouth are creating a new play based on the experiences of the Armed Forces community in Plymouth.
We are looking for people to get involved with the production, with opportunities to:

  • share your story and perform as part of the show
  • help out backstage
  • support in a technical role
  • get involved in the show’s marketing and sales

The project is open to; wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans who have left the military in the last five years, Reservists and Service family members, regardless of previous experience.

The project will equip participants with transferable skills that could help with re-employment, gaining confidence and in working as a team, amongst a wealth of other valuable tools.

We are currently holding taster sessions at a number of different venues around the city. These aim to give participants an idea of what it will be like to be involved in the project. They will be fun and informal and provide an opportunity to meet other community members and project staff from the Theatre.

These are all taking place throughout February and early March with sessions being held:

23rd February - The Royal British Legion Pop-in Centre
26th February - Help for Heroes
3rd March - Radford Family Centre

Please register your interest to ensure a place at a session. Recruitment for the project will be taking place over March.

If you are over 18 and interested in being involved please click here or call 01752 230379 or email [email protected] for more information and to sign up to our newsletter and to be informed of further details on taster sessions and recruitment.

We look forward to working with you.
