Persimmon Homes supports Service leavers into construction
'Persimmon Homes job scheme to support former service personnel into work sees fruits of its labour', reports the South Wales Evening Post.
The Combat to Construction Traineeship is a Persimmon Homes programme which will enable Service leavers to transfer their existing skills into a rewarding second career within the house building industry. The scheme aims to train and employ Service leavers whilst paying them a living wage during their training, which will lead to a recognised qualification and above all, a fulfilling and rewarding career with the company.

Persimmon aims to bring 500 ex-military personnel into the company, and managing director Hugh Llewellyn says, "Our apprenticeship and ex-military personnel schemes just give an indication of our dedication in providing opportunities."
