Funding for Redundees Settled in Wales

Back to News
The Welsh Government has introduced a scheme called ReAct, which provides a variety of support for public sector employees in Wales who have been made redundant.

The support offered for redundancies will vary and will aim to meet the specific needs of each individual situation, but could include:

  • One to one advice
  • Jobs fairs, advice days or similar events
  • Further recruitment events if known employers are recruiting
  • An offer of support for self-employment
  • An offer of support to retrain or upskill
  • Access to CV/interviewing techniques

The scheme can also provide up to £1,500 for vocational training for redundees and up to £3,000 wage subsidy for employers who take on someone who has been made redundant.
