Martin English began his career at BSS before joining the Royal Navy in 1977. Nine years later, he made a successful return to the company, working his way from the Trade Counter to become Regional Operations Support Manager.

David explains his varied role and how his military training has been invaluable for his new career.

As a teenager, Stuart always wanted to join the Army – and leaving the Royal Engineers was one of the hardest things he has ever done. He explains his career path which led to becoming a Branch Manager.

Thomas Moran joined the Irish Guards straight from school aged 16 and served in Hong Kong, Belize and Germany. After leaving the army in 1975, he worked in a number of different roles and industry sectors before joining BSS Liverpool as a driver in 2005.

Donna spent four years in the Territorial Army (TA), where she gained her HGV licence and passed a number of other driving courses, including DROPS vehicle training. She left the TA in 1997 and is now Transport Coordinator at Keyline Edinburgh.

Tony joined the Trade Counter and Warehouse team at BSS Swansea in 2011, after gaining 16 years’ experience in the domestic side of plumbing and heating. Before that, he worked in a variety of roles after leaving the Army in 1991.
