Cornwall-based broadband provider Wildanet aims to directly and indirectly create up to 98 new jobs during the £50m roll-out of its network expansion. The first communities to benefit will be in Wildanet’s hometown of Liskeard and the surrounding rural area, with about 6,000 premises expected to be able to receive the new service. Work is already underway and is expected to complete in the Liskeard area early Autumn.
About Us
Wildanet has been connecting homes and businesses in Cornwall since 2017, largely using fixed wireless technology to bring superfast broadband to communities, otherwise limited to broadband access via the more traditional and slower copper cable networks. We believe that fast, reliable broadband is an essential part of modern life, as has been demonstrated more than ever in the past 12 months, and that no-one should be left behind. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide and ensure all communities and businesses, however remote or rural across Cornwall, have access to the internet they need and deserve. We have commenced work on our new hyperfast network which is set to transform connectivity for hard-to-reach areas, capable of delivering gigabit speeds, which are roughly 40 times faster than the average download speeds currently available in Cornwall.
Wildanet is striving to be the place that our team chooses to be, and all our colleagues genuinely want to be part of our success story. Our Management Team comprises business and technical experts who recognise that our people are essential in delivering our vision to Cornwall. Our colleagues are encouraged and supported in unlocking their true potential; building fulfilling, rewarding career pathways.

Case Study
Hi, my name’s George Calvert and I joined the Wildanet Sales team in March 2021, having left the British Army in 2019. After serving in The Household Cavalry for six years, I have since been seeking job roles that use similar skill sets and require the same level of determination that I am accustomed to from my time in the Services.
After spending time in the Forces and not having experienced work outside of this environment, it can be difficult to know what sort of role you would thrive in. The culture of Wildanet provides a focused environment where Service leavers are able to apply their knowledge and experience to new areas. This means there are numerous opportunities and roles at Wildanet for ex-Service personnel to succeed and use their expertise.
The best part of being at Wildanet is the sense of comradery, which many people miss when moving from military to a civilian life.
