Their service team is a vital part of achieving their mission and goals; by helping to install, maintain and trouble-shoot a comprehensive range of detection technologies deployed at client sites all over the world. The Service Team are currently recruiting for the below positions:

- Field Service Engineer – Gatwick (Site based) N317170
- Project Engineer - Hemel Hempstead (Regular UK and Overseas travel) N316982
- Field Service Engineer – Israel (Israel Based) N316975
- Senior Field Service Engineer – Israel (Israel Based) N316973
- Field Service Engineer – Manchester (Site based) N316977
Which Service Leaver would Smiths Detection’s roles be best suited for? The current requirements within the Service Team would suit candidates with a background in electrical and mechanical maintenance; with experience in fault finding and diagnosis on complex systems, routine and unplanned maintenance and the repair and testing of high value equipment.
Experience gained from the maintenance of RADAR, SONAR or communications equipment, including networking and IT based systems such as NavyStar or DII, would be relevant to all roles available. Candidates of JNCO/SNCO rank from:
- RAF Trade Group 4 and 5
- Royal Navy Engineering (Weapons, Aviation or Marine Branch) and
- Army, REME/ RE / Royal Corps of Signals Technicians are encouraged to apply.
