Come and work for Veolia! Join us in making a positive impact on the environment.
Veolia is the UK’s leading environmental services provider. Working closely with our local authority partners we deliver services that keep communities running; including waste collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance.

We are proud to be an ex-Armed Forces employer who understands the value and skills Service leavers bring to our workforce. In joining Veolia, you’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive community. Our company values include
responsibility, community spirit, respect, innovation and customer focus - all of which resonate with our employees and add to our culture.

We have vacancies to suit all backgrounds across recycling, waste, water, energy, industrial, facilities management, decommissioning, transport logistics and corporate functions.

Working at Veolia, you’ll have access to wide-ranging benefits, including our market-leading pension scheme and access to mental health and financial support. We have a dedicated team of Mental Health First Aiders who are on hand to support our colleagues when required.

Current vacancies - HGV drivers recruitment drive!

We’re recruiting for HGV drivers nationally. Veolia has one of the largest fleets in the UK, and it’s still growing! Our drivers can work as part of a small team or on their own, serving local communities and making a
positive impact every day. As a driver at Veolia, you’ll have career stability, reliable hours and perform rewarding work.

We have full-time hours available to suit your lifestyle, including the opportunity to earn overtime at attractive rates. You’ll be entitled to a generous paid holiday, have access to our people’s pension, as well as various training opportunities.

As a driver at Veolia, we’ll train you to complete your recycling and waste collection rounds safely and effectively. Your typical day starts and ends at your local depot, where you’ll pick up any special instructions and check your vehicle. During the day, you’ll work with your crew, managing your own time to complete the work and leave all collection areas clean and tidy. If you have any problems during the round, you’ll be able to contact the depot for management assistance.

Our drivers meet a very high standard of skill and compliance with driving regulations. As part of our team, you’ll receive regular training to maintain and enhance your professional ability.

What skills/experience is required?

Experienced HGV drivers: You’ll need to have your Category C licence and be driver CPC qualified (but if your DCPC has lapsed, we can help with that). You’ll also need great time management and previous driving experience.

Newly qualified drivers: Got your Category C licence but need experience and/or your DCPC? Join us and receive on-the-job training and mentoring to get your driving career off to a flying start.

Looking for a new career? If you want to train as a Category C licence HGV driver, you can earn while you learn with us!

Work life balance: Don’t fancy the long haulage hours and overnight stays? If you’re looking for a healthy work life balance Veolia is the place to be! The majority of our roles are early starts and early finishes, meaning you should be home before 3, possibly making that school run a lot easier!
